Now that we got that out of the way.

I'll start by touching on current sports. This Pens-Habs series is killing me. Game 6 in Montreal right now and the Pens trail 3-2 halfway through the 3rd period. I'm irritated. Halak is standing on his fucking head. Unreal.

The Celtics-Cavs series is tied at 2. I'm not surprised. The Celts have vets who have been there before. Oh, and they have Rajon Rondo as well. The triple double that he posted yesterday in the Boston win HAS to go down as one of the greatest performances in Celtics playoff history. Game 5 in Cleveland. Come on now....I hate the Cavs but they'll win that game. Game 6 in Beantown.....the C's tie the series at 3 and then on to Game 7 in cLEAVEland (and yes, I'm talking about LeBron bolting the mistake by the lake) where, it pains me to say......the Cavaliers will find a way to win. Orlando will get in that ass in the Eastern Conference Finals though.

And the Canadiens score AGAIN. 4-2 bad guys with just over 8 minutes to go. Looks like Game 7 in the 'Burgh on Wednesday night.....

Some information released today that the Big 10 conference has extended invitations to join the conference to Missouri, Nebraska, Rutgers (LOL) and NOTRE DAME. This is one ND fan who WANTS them to join the conference. Why not? And enough of that,"We don't need the Big 10, they need us!" talk. They need each other and college football needs it. Let's face it....it's headed to 4 super conferences and the Big 10 could really use ND and ND isn't going to keep getting this sweetheart of a deal from the BCS. Who gives a shit about "maintaining our independence." What does that get us? We can keep USC, Navy, Boston College and one other big timer on the schedule and then play the conference slate. Hell, we already play about half of the conference anyways. Can you imagine a Notre Dame-Ohio State matchup EVERY year???? Put the women and children to bed early because it's bound to get downright nasty. Yearly tilts with Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska (if they join)????? ::wipes drool from lip::

Memo to Jack Swarbrick: JOIN THE BIG 10 CONFERENCE. OUR "INDEPENDENCE" HAS RESULTED IN ONE BOWL WIN IN THE LAST 15 YEARS. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO LOSE?????

I can't forget about boxing. Mayweather-Mosley was aw.......ful. After the first two rounds that is. Shane clocked Floyd and he buckled him but he decided to take the next 10 rounds off and that asshole PBF wins again. Word is that Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach says that the fight will happen probably in November (like I said), MAYBE October. I'm counting on it. I'm buying that one. If "Money" wins that one....I give up. That's his last chance to lose. I ain't gonna lie....dude says some hilarious shit on HBO's 24/7 series before his fights.....

I cannot wait until tomorrow night's episode of LOST. It is probably my favorite TV show of all time. Yeah, it's THAT good. It's the kind of show that makes me want to go back to church (man, it's been awhile). I can't believe there are only 4 and a half hours left in the series and it should be incredible. It never disappoints. NEVER.

While LOST has reached GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) status......other great shows that I watch are either in danger of getting canned or already are. Chuck.....great show. Thank God NBC is in the crapper and it probably has no choice but to bring Chuck back. Same goes for Heroes. Other great shows like SouthLAnd (NBC actually dumped this outstanding crime drama....WTF?) better get renewed by TNT. Seriously, what else are they gonna show? Matlock? GTFO. Three Rivers was decent and that got shit-canned almost as soon as it started. Cold Case is on it's way out. Mercy is one that the wife and I enjoy so it's doomed. Bank it. If we like a show....odds are it's not going to last much longer........

I'm going to be a Dad in approximately 6 weeks. Pretty amazing. I can't wait. I'm still politicking hard for the name "Brooklyn" for our daughter and while my wife still counters with "Cassandra"......I think she is starting to warm up to my choice. A lot of things will change......okay.....nothing will ever be the same. And ya' know what? I'm fine with that. Things will be better. It's the missing piece to the puzzle. Don't get me wrong......occasional poker games, watching sports with the gang, get together's......all will still happen though maybe less frequently. It's going to be hard work and many challenges lie ahead for us but it will be the beautiful struggle. So many great times to come. Summertime. Cook outs. Then Fall and football season (oh how we all miss you). The World Series (GO YANKS). NCAA and Madden. And yet so many new things to experience.

And one last thing.......cutting grass is Mother Nature's way of serving us a big shitburger.....can I at least get some cheese and ketchup (Heinz of course) on it?
